Near The Anchorage, Corlette in Port Stephens, Is a beautiful area for family photographs.

I love how there is windy pathways positioned between the houses and Corlette beach. Wide green grassy areas, thick leafy plants, tall trees for shade, manicured gardens (which the residents keep so very beautiful) and on the otherwise is stunning rock formations and my favourite mini cave.

I have known Toni, Desi and her family for many years. Even fortunate to photograph their wedding day in 2009.

Over the past few years, I have photographed Toni and Desi’s family to build their family album, I was so honored when they asked me to back again for their 2023 family portrait in an adventure session.

Little Desi is not a fan of having his photographs taken, So we took the playful adventure approach instead of the formal posed photographs. This way, he got to be himself, explore the surrounds and be…. well…. Desi!

A little game of Chinese whispers had the family laughing as well as calling out their favorite milkshake flavors in the cave…. as McDonald milkshakes was on the cards as rewards for these two.

Desi’s mother Jenny joined us. It is always nice to have grandparent memories and very welcomed.

Toni is the owner of Make Me Up.  Toni is a qualified hairdresser and makeup artist in Salamander Bay.

She has a beautiful, boutique, home studio . Toni specializes in wedding and special event services. Many times we find ourselves working along side each other at a wedding.

The new adventure photography session, is a 90min photography session which allows us time for a more relaxed, playful and more importantly, to have an adventure!

During an adventure sessions, allows me to create story telling photographs mixed in with timeless portraits, that is the perfect combination for this century’s photography expectations.

I had lots of fun with the Hanrahan’s and I can’t wait to get together with this family again.
