Tanilba Bay Boardwalk, Port Stephens. We played in amongst the paper bark trees and boardwalk for Matilda’s special first birthday, cake smash photography session.
I really love this location for photographs and I was so happy when Ashleigh and Rhys agreed to hold Matilda’s first birthday, cake smash photographs there.
Yes it can be a good traffic way for dog walkers and children bike riding, especially in the mornings… But nothing was a problem on this very morning.
Little Matilda loved her cake and especially loved her bath time, giving herself lots of hiding behind her little hands, lots of claps and a bundle of giggles.
Matilda’s mum found her cake at Coles and dressed it up with some flowers.
Matilda wore a dress from my client wardrobe.
Cake smash sessions are always a lot of fun and a great opportunity to celebrate a first birthday milestone.

The best time to have a cake smash session is really at 10 months old, you want to get them before they can crawl away from the cake. A cake smash is a great way to ring in the age number ONE.
