The Australian Photographic Prize is an international Photography Competition that includes Print and Digital awards.

The Australian Photographic Prize is open to professional, amateur and student photographers and includes live in-person judging for ALL print entries and top 35 entries from each digital category.

Held annually, the Awards includes presentations from industry leaders.

This year I entered three images.

Image Entry #1

Young Layla from her sitter session at Camelia Gardens. This set was photographed in natural light. We found a mossy area amongst the beautiful pink Camelia flowers. Scoring 77 – Highly Commended. Print entry.

Image entry #2

Jessie & Adam during their location photographs along Fingal Bay Beach, before heading into their reception venue at Saltwater Restaurant, Fingal Bay

Their warm cuddle warmed my heart, I knew I had to enter this one. Scoring 75 – Highly Commended – Print entry.

Image entry #3

Last year, I had entered Kirsty on her own in this same location and feel. The judges commented that they wanted to see what the bride was looking at… So I entered the image with Kirsty’s missing groom, Harrison. It scored one point away from Silver, later learning from my feedback, that a better crop was required to lift it to the next level.

Scoring 79 – Highly Commended as a Digital entry.
