Dreaming of a Country Wedding? Goonoo Goonoo Station Has It All
Let me tell you a little story.
Back on the 26th of October 2019, I had the joy of being a guest at the wedding of my husband’s best mate, Timmy, and his beautiful bride, Emma. The wedding was held at the stunning Goonoo Goonoo Station, just outside Tamworth.
It was a really dry season at the time, but you wouldn’t have known it standing there. The grounds were lush, green, and beautifully kept. Think rolling farmland meets Tuscan countryside. It had this incredible mix of rustic charm and timeless elegance. Picture perfect manicured gardens, wide-open skies, heritage buildings, and beautiful sandstone walls. As a photographer, it was the kind of setting that makes your fingers itch to grab the camera.
Now here’s the kicker—Emma had actually asked my husband if I’d like to photograph the wedding. But in true “husband didn’t check with the wife” fashion, he answered for me and said no… because he wanted me to hang with him all day. (Bless him.)
Then, of course, he was asked to be a groomsman, so off he went to do groomsman things, and I spent the day solo! Such is life.
Despite not shooting the wedding, I soaked it all in ( and took photos on the side). The bride Emma, who is originally from Tamworth, had told me how stunning Goonoo Goonoo Station was and she was not wrong. It’s honestly one of the most picturesque wedding venues I’ve ever been to. Goonoo Goonoo Station offers on-site accommodation, meaning your guests can make a full weekend of it. With the ceremony and reception spaces all in one spot. It’s a destination wedding dream country wedding location!
I would absolutely love to photograph a wedding at Goonoo Goonoo Station. It’s everything I love to work with. So if you’re planning your big day and especially if you’ve fallen in love with this beautiful venue, please consider reaching out. I’d love to be part of your story.
