Cake Smash & Sitter Photography
Your little one is sitting on his/her own! I adore this time in photographing babies in their “sitter” stage. They are just so cute and they don’t crawl or run away.
We can have them sitting on blankets, in buckets, flower hats in my portable studio at your place or on location.
I have many sitter outfits and buckets to include during your session, so feel free to advise your colour scheme you wish to work with and I’ll organise the rest.
The best time to have a cake smash session is really at 10 months old, you want to get them before they can crawl away from the cake. A cake smash is a great way to ring in the age number ONE.

Your Little One – is Turning One!
It’s such a milestone in your baby’s life… Not only is he/she sitting, crawling and some instances even walking… but they are becoming a toddler! Can’t we just stop the clock and pause for just a wee moment… oh we can. In imagery. Remember your little one right now, cuddly, cute and not asking for the car keys.. oh hang on, they are already aren’t they!
Let’s Smash it Out For You

In a cake smash session, we start off with portraits of your little toddler, all clean, no mess, just beautiful portraits, you know, the ones you show all your friends about just how cute your child is, the images you give to Nana. After the cute portraits are complete, we bring out the CAKE.

I use a 4” buttercream cake which is the perfect size for your little one to smash up with his/her mouth, hands, feet or maybe they want to get the wooden spoon into it. However your toddler likes to smash their cake, I will photograph all the moments from the clean cake to the “all over the floor cake”. Once they have had enough of all the cake fun.. I think it’s time to clean up, after all you can’t walk out of a photo session with cake all over your face and feet!

Next up is the milk bath in my cute clawfood bath tub. I use QV oil with is gentle on all skin types and beneficial as well. Lot’s of fun splashing in the tub whilst the bubbles go flying by. Want to add in a rubber duckie or two? Why not! Whatever suits the theme of your session we will do.

Now did I mention we can hold your cake smash sessions outdoors or at your home!
With my portable studio, If you have an indoor space of 3×3 then we are good to go. Otherwise if your one to prefer the outdoors, we can head out to a beautiful setting near your home and smash it up.
